Programme Aim:
This qualification is designed to recognise the foundation skills and knowledge required for further training in the motor industry, and to provide students with the opportunity to gain exposure to career opportunities in the automotive industry. The qualification covers the knowledge and skills required for workplace calculations, automotive industry knowledge and safe work practices, literacy, and communication. You will gain a range of automotive knowledge and skills including electrical and electronics, preventative maintenance, workshop engineering, engine repairs and bodywork.
Entry Criteria:
Must meet TOPs or Youth Training criteria (refer to TEC Funded Programmes)
Graduate Outcome:
This programme will prepare students for entry to higher levels
of automotive education or entry positions in the motor
industry.
Career Opportunities:
This qualification prepares students for entry into any of the
Level 2 provider-based, or Level 3 or Level 4 apprenticeship-
based qualifications registered in the motor industry
subfield.
