Programme Aim:
This qualification provides both generic and industry-specific skills covering the range of occupations offered by the automotive industry. It demands a level of performance that will enable new recruits to the industry to be immediately productive. The core compulsory section of the qualification covers the knowledge and skills required by the industry including subjects on work and study skills, automotive administration, protection of vehicle electronics, vehicle systems and components, and automotive workshop engineering. You will also cover a range of motor industry subjects particular to mechanical occupations and collision repair occupations
Entry Criteria:
Must meet TOPs or Youth Training criteria (refer to TEC Funded Programmes)
Graduate Outcome:
This programme will prepare students for entry to higher levels
of automotive education or entry positions in the motor
industry.
Career Opportunities:
Upon graduation, students will be prepared for entry
into further National Certificates in the motor industry.
